Emily
Emily is a life-long dog lover with a passion for helping dogs and their owners live their best lives together! While earning her Bachelor’s Degree at Ithaca College, she fostered her love for dog training through volunteering as a puppy raiser with Guiding Eyes for the Blind. After becoming a puppy raiser, Emily’s career trajectory completely pivoted and she knew working with dogs was her calling. Emily has worked at Veterinary Emergency Group and Guiding Eyes for the Blind, gaining priceless animal husbandry skills along the way. She has been training dogs using positive reinforcement training methods since 2018 and loves learning with every dog she has worked with.
Teagan & Nova
Teagan & Nova are two female black Labrador Retrievers, who were raised as future guide dogs through Guiding Eyes for the Blind. After being medically released from the program, both girls became official members of the family. Teagan is four years old and is the snuggliest, calmest, and bounciest girl who’s always up for anything that includes her people. Nova is a one-year-old who loves to learn, play and run, and is always ready for an adventure. Both girls are Emily’s training assistants and love learning new things alongside her.
